Kaylies outbreaks don't seem quite as bad as Meri's b/c she didn't have to be hospitalized. The 1st outbreak was shocking and scary b/c we had never heard anything about this before but she pretty much breezed through the 1st one and it lasted about 4 weeks. Kaylie is 6 yrs. old and yes to some degree she understands what is going on, well as much as a 6 year old can understand. She is not currently on any pain meds for her stomach, we have been trying warm compresses, lots of rocking and lots of pacing the floors. Her Dr. did tell us that when we meet ...

Hi everyone, We are new to the site and very excited that we stubled upon it! Our daughter was diagnosed with HSP on Jan. 17th of this year and as of now we are currently on our 4th outbreak.
