Meri's protein/creatinine reatio is down to .7!!!! Yay!!! We are so happy!! We are continuing to wean her from the steroids and her puffiness, eating, moodiness etc. all seem to be on the decline! It's such a huge relief!

I hope the all of you get similar news in the days ahead!

hi there, hope this finds you all well, i was wondering if you could tell me how long meri was on the steriods?

Let's see....she started them March 25 2008. In May, she was given a PICC line, which is basically a semipermanent IV and she was receiving mega-doses of IV steroids throughout May and June. She went back to oral steroids and was finally weaned off them entirely in December 2008. She's had to do a couple of "stress doses" of them since then for surgery and things, but (knock wood) no need to go back on them. Yay!
